This is an advanced “yellow ball” clinic.  To qualify, players must demonstrate advanced skills and fundamentals including groundstrokes, serves, depth, spin and control on a full 78 foot court.  This clinic will focus on weapon development, transitioning between offense and defense, adding pace and spin, and direction of shots. Public Tennis (PTI) offers tennis clinics and introductory play opportunities for children, adults, and adaptive athletes.  We make tennis fun!  Email julie@publictennis.org with questions including choosing the right clinic for your child.

The Spring Break Soccer Camp will work with kids between the ages of 4 and 12 to have fun on the soccer field. The games and activities are designed for personal and team growth and will encourage players to fall in love with participation. Tormenta loves soccer camp and looks forward to working with the kids within our fun and learning soccer environment.

Led by Jason Stepp - Jason is currently a coach for the Tormenta FC Academy program that focuses on growth and development for kids between the ages of 7 and 12. He has an extensive background in running fun and educational soccer camps and your child will greatly enjoy their time participating at spring break soccer camp.

“HOT” Girls Summer Camp is for girls aged 12 to 18. HOT, an acronym for Hands-On Training, Girls Summer Camp offers a week-long immersive and fun experience led by Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue professionals. At "HOT Girls Summer Camp," participants will engage in firefighting drills and emergency medical scenarios, and receive instruction in vital life skills, all geared towards fostering leadership, enhancing confidence, building physical fitness, and strengthening mental resilience. H.O.T. Girls Summer Camp will be led by members of Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue.

Helmet, eye protection, and gloves will be issued and returned on the last day.

This youth contact program has been on Hilton Head Island since 1969. With our return, we will be going back to our traditional colors (green and yellow).  In addition to developing football skills and techniques there will be a strong focus on teaching sportsmanship, teamwork, and life skills. Many coaches with varying levels of playing and coaching experience will help guide these young men.

Please bring/wear: Cleats, practice pants and shirt. The program will provide all game day wear (ie jersey, pants, helmet,  shoulder pad).

Learn the basics of rowing. The camp utilizes 1-4 person shells (boats) and will teach participants basic sculling (2 oars per rower) techniques. Each participant will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to row an individual rowing shell (single) on their own.

Members of Hilton Head Rugby Club, led by retired pro Alex MacDonald and USA Rugby legend Mark Lambourne, are certified coaches through PLAY RUGBY USA. They will be teaching a fun and basic curriculum designed for individual and team growth that kids across the country are learning and playing to get better every day!

Kick off the Spring on the pitch in the largest youth sport program at the Island Rec!! Teams will be formed and assigned to volunteer coaches, who will coordinate practice days and times and play in age-division games weekly!

Program led by Island Rec Athletic Staff and volunteer coaches for teams. Those volunteering to coach have priority on making 1 player request besides their child in the registration process.  Requests to be with 1 other person/coach can be made but cannot be guaranteed in the interest of creating balanced teams for competition.

We recommend bringing a light snack, water bottle, and sunscreen. Please keep a towel and perhaps a change of clothes in your pick-up vehicle for the ride home. Plan on your child being wet! We will hose them off for ya so they don't track pluff mud all throughout you vehicle :).

Dance provides 21st Century skills as well as being considered the most beneficial exercise to engage in as it promotes mental health and well being, confidence, physical health and a sense of community.

From Ms. J: I have a BFA in Dance from Ohio State University. After graduating I worked as a professional in tv/film and Broadway in NYC. After relocating to the area I became a Dance teacher for BCSD for ten years. In addition, I was the lead Dance Teacher for the District.

Hilton Head Island Track Club exists to help Beaufort County young athletes learn the benefits and appreciation for Track and Field. Coach Corey Taylor is a former 3 time All American out of University of South Carolina. He also coached an Olympian in 2012. Coach Taylor has coached track and field over 10 years. Pq Running shoes and comfortable clothes to train in.

The spring basketball session will be a fun atmosphere with organized scrimmage games and basketball play. There will be some fundamental training as well but mostly game play.

Jesse Eddy, Hilton Head native, and local basketball standout played at Armstrong Atlantic State University before going on to the European summer league. As a starting point guard, he led his team to a championship before returning to his home here on Hilton Head to work with developing players. Jesse uses his background in biology, physical therapy, and personal training and his deep passion for and knowledge of the game of basketball to train the next generation of athletes into the best players they can be.
